A few years ago, I wrote Falling Faster, a novella about a rock musician and an artist, that was a whirwind vacation romance. It was part of the Love is All, vol.3 charity anthology. I loved the characters, and in the years since, they've kept talking to me, and I knew their story wasn't complete. They demanded more, and I've given it to them. :-)
This second edition has been extensively expanded to more than double the length of the original. I love the direction the characters tool me in, and I hope you will too.
For Ty Allen, a trip to Los Angeles for a comic book collectors convention with his friends is the perfect place for the Buffalo based artist to hunt down rare issues for his collection, and take a much needed break. Looking for love isn't on the agenda, but when a man dressed as a popular comic book character saves Ty from his walking disaster self, the trip takes an intriguing turn.
Rock musician Craig Simms spends his spare time in a mask and a cape, bringing happiness to sick children in LA through his foundation. Still, he feels like something is missing. Meeting Ty knocks his world upside down. Drawn to Ty’s friendly, sweet nature, he doesn't want their interaction to end.
A whirlwind weekend of chemistry and connection has them free-falling into something bigger than they'd anticipated. Ty is like a perfect melody for Craig’s weary heart, and for Ty, Craig shifts every experience from muted tones to vibrant hues. But when the weekend is over and life takes new twists and turns, does what happens at the comic convention stay at the comic convention, or can they find a way to fit into each other's universes?
Falling Faster is a low angst, whirlwind romance with a rock star at a crossroads, an artist on the brink of a new venture, an instant connection, found family, hockey hero cameos, and two men whose hearts sing a love song to each other.
Happy reading!
